Stock Screener

The Stock Screener displays the stock results from the 3000+ stocks in the universe. These stocks were selected based on revenues that were at least $100 million USD per year at the time of adding. The Stock Screener has nothing to do with the valuation levels of a stock — it simply has filter buttons that control which stocks appear. Rather than having to sort through 3000+ stocks, the filter buttons help filter out stocks that do not meet your criteria.

Filter buttons such as the Return on Equity one are pretty self explanatory. If a value of 15 is put in, only stocks with 15%+ ROE for the last year will show up. A more complete one is shown below:

This example shows that stocks will appear only if they have a 5-year average net margin of 4% or higher. This eliminates lots of lower profit margin stocks. However, let's say we want to find companies that are becoming even more profitable — that is where margin growth comes into play. Set a minimum margin growth rate so that, say, a company had a net margin of 4% one year, 4% the next year, but then jumps to 10 or 15% the next couple of years. Put in a growth value, set a lookback period — the most recent period, which is probably 2025 at the time of this writing — and compare this value to something like the 5-year average. If the value has gone up a certain percentage, then those stocks will appear.
